Background:
Arriving ORD about noon Friday
Staying suburban until Monday, then move downtown
Idea: rent car Fri-Mon to use to move luggage between hotels
=%26gt; Ideal solution: Find car rental with cheap weekend rates near a station stop on the El O%26#39;Hare line. After dropping luggage off at downtown hotel Monday, drop off car and ride blue line downtown.
Note: Can%26#39;t find cheap weekend rate at ORD itself.
Please suggest a car rental location that is not downtown (or that you KNOW has low weekend rates) and is near an El station, preferable on the ORD line.

Suburban Car rental near EL O'hare line
Hmmm, I%26#39;m rethinking based on more research. Let me ask a different question:
What would you say are the top destinations that are worth driving to?
We%26#39;ll be in Chicago about 9 days, so there is time to drive anyplace worthwhile. But we%26#39;re two adults who live in the suburbs of a major metro area, so we don%26#39;t need to visit amusement parks or shopping malls.
Are we better off just spending all 9 days downtown carless?
If you go with this strategy, consider any Enterprise near your suburban base - and have them drop you at a Metra station. You need not be tied to CTA Blue Line for this strategy.
However, you don%26#39;t need the car for any other purpose? If no, you should be able to get a cab/limo to take you and luggage downtown on Monday for less than a weekend car rental.
Driving downtown on a Monday rush, then turning around and driving back, only to take the train downtown does not sound like good use of your time.
I think Enterprise has a location near the Western %26amp; Milwaukee Blue Line stop.
