Chicago greeter - tips

Hi,

After some recomendations we have decided to book a Chicago greeter for a music tour, hopefully enlightening us on the jazz %26amp; blues scene.

Now I understand that the greeters are volunteers and the trip is free but is it the usual practice to tip? and if so what is acceptable?

Hi there

From my experience with the New York Greeter, they are quite adamant about there being no payment or tip proferred ... but I%26#39;m sure offering to buy your greeter a drink or snack (as you would a friend) couldn%26#39;t go astray.

I love the concept of the whole programme ... so simple and what a nice way for people to connect from all over the world.

I too plan to book a greeter walk in Chicago for our visit in August ... we can%26#39;t wait to explore this amazing city.
