is there anywhere in Chicago where knockoff designer stuff can be found such as purses... like there is in nyc?
thanks

knockoff
You%26#39;ll see street vendors in the River North area near the Grand subway stop. There was one guy in who used to camp out on State / Ohio, another who set up shop in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Ohio, and still another who operated on Grand east of State. They seem to move around a lot though, and they don%26#39;t exactly operate on regular business hours
If you decide to shop, I%26#39;d advise taking some extra precautions with your belongings. Every time I pass one of these stands, there%26#39;s a sea of gawkers with their undiverted attention focused on the purses. For a pickpocket, the shoppers might as well be passed out drunk.

For legit deals, you may want to check out Filenes Basement or TJ Max. Also Forever 21 and Nordstrom Rack. All on State street

The fake purse vendors seem to also frequent Chicago Avenue in the vicinity of the State/Chicago el stop.
So do the prostitutes and drug pushers....
Pushers and prostitutes? Maybe 15 years ago, but not now.
Check out gis.chicagopolice.org for a list of recent crimes in the area.
