I did a search on the forum, but can%26#39;t find an answer to my questions.
I%26#39;m trying to decide on which airport to use. I am flying in on a sunday morning in September (arriving around 10am) and traveling to the Hyatt McCormick Place. I%26#39;m also attending a Cubs game at 1 that day. Both airports have flights that work time wise for me - so this is not an issue for me. Since my company is paying for airfare/transportation (this is a business trip) - any preference on airport? I know Midway is smaller, but is it more reliable or should I go with O%26#39;Hare?
Also, I plan on leaving on a flight around 5pm on Wednesday - so this may drive the airport choice too based on ease of getting to one over the other.
Thanks in advance for your help with a first timer to Chicago.

O'Hare vs Midway
Many people I know prefer the smaller Midway. You would have an easier time getting from the closer Midway to the Hyatt McCormick than from ORD to the Hyatt McCormick, as well.
O'Hare vs Midway
I hate flying out of Midway. Being smaller isn%26#39;t always a good thing. The lines for security are always 10 times longer and it seems we%26#39;ve always had to wait a lot longer at the baggage claim. I always take the longer drive up to O%26#39;hare over Midway.
I%26#39;d probably go with Midway, the last few times I%26#39;ve flown out of there I haven%26#39;t seen any significant delays at security. I always carry my bag on the plane so I can%26#39;t comment on baggage delays.
If your company is paying for transport, I suspect you%26#39;ll opt for a cab so you%26#39;ll also be significantly closer to the Hyatt McCormick if you fly into Midway AND you don%26#39;t have to go through downtown which is usually what backs up. Mapquest says 10 miles/17 minutes for Midway, 22 miles/30 minutes for O%26#39;Hare but those numbers shoot up if you hit traffic.
It is much easier to get to your hotel from Midway than from O%26#39;Hare. Much shorter trip right down the expressway.
Both airports have their inconveniences. I am not thrilled with either option. I would go for Midway based on the hotel choice.
thanks all - I am leaning towards Midway. i think I%26#39;ll have the best chance with timing in order to make it for the 1:20pm Cubs game.
